5. Retention
Ontario real estate regulation requires us to keep transaction records for at least six years after completion; unaccepted offers for one year. Additional records mandated by federal anti-money-laundering law are retained at least five years. When no longer needed, data are securely destroyed or anonymized.

We employ administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, consistent with PIPEDA’s Safeguards Principle. Measures include encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and routine backup and monitoring.
